· Before the tour: a list of recommended sites and
activities
At booking time, we
provide you with an online list of significant
must-see sites situated in Old Québec and its vicinities. For each
site relevant to our private tours, you find a short description, links to
their different websites and suggestions of activities. This list is a
work-in-progress project.
· During the tour: a narrative adapted to your interests
and cultural background
All
tour agencies in Québec City are required to hire licensed guides, it
is mandatory! We are no exception!
What
most agencies don’t do is to train their guides to adapt their
narrative to different types of clients. In our opinion, one of the key
elements of a memorable experience is to provide information you can understand and relate to. Otherwise, you may
be quickly overwhelmed by all the information we share and will not be able
to assimilate and enjoy most of the tour content.
Our
experts are provided additional training on the US and Canadian history, on the North America’s French-speaking
communities and - New in 2024 - on Mexican history.
· After the tour: a
complementary self-guided walking tour
A typical walking tour
lasts 2.5 to 3 hours and provides a lot of essential information. However, to
cover the entire historic zone and more than 400 years of French and British
history, it might take more time!
We provide our guests with a Discovery Walk itinerary that
allows them to further explore Old Québec.
This itinerary is typically not covered during our guided walking tour. The
fast walker can cover our Walk within 1.5 hour. The explorer will rather take
2.5 to 4.5 hours to enjoy the whole Walk. Lots of details and website links
are provided.
This complimentary
Walk is meant to be done after our guided tour, but
can also be done before if it’s more convenient.
